Far East Movement – Like a G6 (Mochipet Remix)
more on the Far East Movement: Far*East Movement (abbreviated FM) is an electro/hop quartet based in Los Angeles, California, created in 2006. Members Kev Nish (Chinese/Japanese American), Prohgress (Korean American), J-Splif (Korean American), and DJ Virman (Filipino American) represent different generations of Korean, Chinese, and Filipino ancestry within the Asian American community.[1] They put together the first multicultural live music event in Koreatown, Los Angeles to benefit a drug rehabilitation center in the community called “Movementality”.[2] FM’s first claim to fame was their song “Round Round” featured in the Hollywood blockbuster, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and its subsequent soundtrack, video game and DVD. Since “Round Round”, they’ve been featured on various network shows including CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, HBO’s hit show Entourage, Gossip Girl, and Finishing the Game (a featured film at Sundance 2007).[3] They were invited to perform on Power 106’s Powerhouse 2009, one of the biggest Hip-Hop concerts on the west coast, performing with the line-up including Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Sean Paul, New Boyz, Pitbull, Lil Jon, LMFAO, Ya Boy, Flo Rida, and The Black Eyed Peas. Their single “Like a G6” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and on iTunes as well in late October, 2010[4].

FEATURING…

GLITCHY & SCRATCHY — FIRST US APPEARANCE! 1245-2
(Muti Music/IGU)
Over the past two years, Shaun & Bevan aka Glitchy & Scratchy have single handedly broken the ”glitch hop” sound in their hometown of Vancouver, BC. Alongside their ever-growing posse of bass and glitch heads, the “Integrated Grime Unit” (a collective which counts among its ranks GlitchHopForum head honcho Dewey dB, as well as bass prodigies Ill-Esha and JmeJ), they promote and shape the face of underground music in their city. No stranger to crowds of sweaty, happy people, Glitchy & Scratchy have a dancefloor sensibility often forgotten in a world of tweaked wobbles and schizfreaked edits.

ILL-ESHA — **EARLY SET!!** 1045-1145
(Daly City/Haunted Audio/IGU/Dub Police)
or the last decade, ill-esha has been an integral part of the North American electronic scene. Beginning as a vocalist, she soon added MCing and DJing to her repertoire, creating a dynamic and unique live show which has headlined alongside artists such as Andy C, Klute, Dieselboy, Vibesquad, LTJ Bukem, Moving Fusion, Tipper, T-Power & De La Soul. She has performed in 42 cities across North America, Europe and Asia; in clubs, at festivals, and even on TV shows on MTV Canada and the CBC. In 2001 her first 12” single was released on New York label Breakbeat Science; since then ill-esha has worked steadily as a vocalist and producer on labels like BluSaphir, Haunted Audio, and Outsider, and hitting the 1 singles download spot on Juno. One of the founding members of the premier online community GlitchHopForum.com, her remixes are hugely popular, popping up in DJ sets across the globe. Her release with Dewey dB on Muti Music, “H.A.A.R.P” spent two months in the Beatport Top 10 Electronica downloads; more ill-esha tunes can be found on Woofer Cookers, up and coming on Subway, Dub Police and to-be-launched vinyl & digital label, True Score Theory. Her show is a fiery combination of original beats, glitch edits and live vocals – a unique experience not to be missed!

MOCHIPET — DINOSAUR! 2 -3
(Daly City)
Born in Taiwan R.O.C. to Rocket Scientist father and Kindergarten Teacher mother, David Wang (a.k.a. Mochipet) has been tinkering with electronics since he was a child. However, not until he added music to the equation, did something special begin to take shape. Having grown up listening to metal guitar, avant-garde jazz, and mainstream hip-hop, David’s eclectic taste can now be seen in his music – ever changing, and always evolving.
His fervency for diversity can also be noted in the mixed bag of his many artist collaborations.
David has also shared the stage with a myriad of influential music pioneers. Mochipet has toured throughout America, Asia and Europe in a wide variety of underground and main stage venues .
The clean and unique vibrations David has presented to the music arena have reached as far as the Sports and Skateboarding world as well. Never wasting an ounce of drive, David founded and manages independent record label, Daly City Records (DCR), which runs out of the Bay Area – home to many up-and-coming artists.

B. BRAVO — LIVE DJ/PA HYBRID SET! 1145-1245
(Frite Nite)
In San Francisco, B. Bravo (Adam Mori) is probably most known for his role in his band Bayonics who are undoubtedly the area’s favorite multi-cultural funk and hiphop (and about 10 other genres, they shred it all…amazing band) group, who has shared the stage with everybody from George Clinton to the Wu-Tang Clan.
Late 2008 was a time for Mori to materialize his wealth of influence, style and musicianship on his first solo project. After releasing “Analog Starship” last year, B. Bravo quickly became a staple amongst bloggers and DJs pushing future-funk music. Bravo is coming out hot in 2010 with new music & European tour dates.

JOE MOUSEPAD — DJ/MC LIVE SET! 1000-1045
(Daly City/Automatic Writing)
Dazzling audiences with stunning word play and funky rhythms
unheard in hip-hop and dance music, Joe Mousepad, who hails from New Hampshire, has earned a place as a prominent emcee in the international music community. Relocating to Boston in 2002 and eventually to San francisco in 2007, his interaction with hip hop and big bass electronic music has pushed him in style and form, utilizing his abilities to play on any tempo and genre. You may have seen him at such music events as, Low End Theory, South by Southwest, and countless festivals along the west coast. A recent signee to the west coast label Daly City Records by Mochipet, Joe has begun to showcase his own production and push his craft into the next level. From Boston to NY, Baltimore to Austin to San Francisco, be on the lookout for this linguistic juggernaut on his upcoming european tour, or at a rockin spot near you.

**2ND ROOM FEATURING SLAYERS CLUB DJS**

MANITOUS
For over a decade, Manitous has been stealthily traversing the west coast underground and beyond, strategically opening giant wormholes in the space-time continuum. A child of disparate worlds and a man of environmental extremes, Manitous is the product of sonic collision…he is a walking soundclash. His career as a dj has seen him welcome desert sunrises with epic dreamspell breaks, rockin boats with some o’ that old school, destroying dancefloors with the junglist massive, and recently causing frenzies dropping spaceglitchdubelectrobreakshousehopstep and a good amount of African and dancehall vibes. With a healthy disregard for genres and a nasty case of the whomps, Manitous continues to bring the danger to speakers worldwide.
The last few years has found Manitous relentlessly destroying genres alongside an eclectic array of artists such as Flying Lotus, the Glitch Mob, and Michael Franti & Spearhead, to name a few. As a founding member of the motley crew of misfits known as Slayers Club, Manitous keeps bringin’ it heavy, hard, and sometimes a little loud…

PROFESSOR BANG
Professor Bang has been DJing since 1998, when he inherited a mismatched pair of decks and a secondhand mixer from some friends. Never one to do things the easy way, he learned to beatmatch with drum n’ bass, and it wasn’t long before he was spinning at raves and clubs around the Bay Area and Northern California. His tastes quickly wandered beyond d n’ b, leading him to gigs spinning house, hip-hop, indie rock and beyond; his background as a multi-instrumentalist and singer may be to blame for his genre-bending style. Juggling bands, a radio career and DJ gigs makes for some late nights and early mornings, but pBang’s commitment to bringing crucial sounds to the dancefloor is unwavering. Since joining forces with Slayers Club in late 2008, Professor Bang has brought his talents to bear on new venues, new audiences and new styles…with plenty more to come!
